Client Privacy

Client privacy is of utmost importance, At Your Side volunteers receive very specific training for HIPAA third party regulation compliance. 

Clients sign a “Consent to Release Form” authorizing their physician to discuss or share their health information with the specifically named At Your Side volunteer advocate.

The client’s health information will not be shared with other individuals, such as family or friends, unless written authorization is given naming the specific individuals with whom they want to share specified information.

Trust is essential in developing and promoting a strong client and advocate relationship.
